Mini Cooper has launched the all-new Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW) in India on October 14, 2025today. Pre-bookings for the new sporty SUV are underway; the new entrant is the only ICE-engine-powered Countryman in India. Here are all the details you should know about the all-new MINI Countryman JCW.
New Design Changes

The new ICE-powered JCW is now equipped with a slew of new design elements that will make it appear slightly more sporty than the regular model. The car will have a blacked-out grille with Mini’s signature flag monogram, with a John Cooper Works badge on it. The car features new air intakes on both sides of the front bumper and red decals on the hood for a sportier appearance.
buyers will be able to choose between Midnight Black with Red Roof and racing stripes, Legend Grey with Red Roof and Racing stripes, Legend Grey with Red Roof and racing stripes, and British Racing Green with Back roof and racing stripes.

The new JCW features JCW-specific rims, red brake calipers, a JCW badge on the C-pillar, and a new slightly red hue on the roof of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle has been refreshed with an all-black cabin interior, red accents on the dashboard and seat upholstery, and red ambient lights to enhance the sporty feel of the vehicle.

Features
The upcoming Countryman will have all the bells and whistles that one expects from a premium vehicle. The car will offer a 9.4-inch circular OLED infotainment system. Beyond that, it will include a sound system by Harman Kardon, a new head-up display, auto AC with rear vents, electronically adjustable front seats, and a panoramic glass roof.

Engine and Specs
Under the hood, the JCW will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that puts out 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The car will be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, which will send power to all four wheels of the SUV. Mini claims that the Countryman JCW can do a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

Prices
The JCW is priced around Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Last time, a limited number of EVs were allotted for sale in India. If a similar route is followed for the ICE variant, it’s possible that prices might soar even higher than before. The new variant is expected to be priced around Rs 70 lakh.
