MG Windsor EV, the newest addition to the company’s line-up, has achieved remarkable success since its launch in September 2024. MG Windsor EV took the top spot as India’s best-selling electric car in October 2024, with 3,116 units sold. This car overtakes Tata Nexon EV as India’s top-selling electric car. MG Motor India’s sales surge 37.92% year-on-year (YoY) to 7,045 units. Remarkably, this was the company’s best monthly sales performance to date.
The newly launched MG Windsor contributed 3,116 units to the total sales. MG Motor India’s portfolio includes the Astor, Hector, Gloster, ZS EV, and Comet EV, in addition to the Windsor. The MG Windsor EV received an overwhelming response from day one, with bookings opening on October 3, 2024. This car secured 15,176 bookings within 24 hours in the Indian market.
MG Windsor EV: All Details
This multi-utility vehicle, is priced between Rs 13.50 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh, and is offered in three variants. Key specs of the MG Windsor EV include a ground clearance of 186 mm and a palette of 4 colours, with a reported driving range of 331 km. This car features a 38kWh battery, and a front-wheel drive motor producing 134bhp and 200Nm. The driving modes of the car, includes Eco, Eco+, normal, and Sport.
The MG Windsor EV’s interior features a sleek and modern design, equipped with a 15.6-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, horizontally mounted AC vents, dual-tone upholstery, a fully digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
This car boasts a sleek and modern exterior design, featuring all-LED lights, LED daytime running lights, a slim connecting light bar, and a rear connected light bar, complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels and a bold, muscular front bumper.
The MG Windsor EV prioritizes safety with a comprehensive suite of features, including a 360-degree camera, surround view camera, six airbags, electronic parking brake, auto hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and electronic stability control.
