MG Motor India has shared plans to expand their line up in India. The brand is in process of revamping their retailer model in Indian with the establishment of a new premium retailer showroom chain that would help them pitch newer more premium vehicles that are new of the Indian market. MG is gearing up to launch New Energy vehicles through their newer premium showroom chains. its possible that the brand might unveil their new vehicles at the Bharat mobility expo in January as well.
MG Cyberster
The Cyberster is MG’s new sportscar that has been based on the MG B’s roadster that the brand used to sell from 1962 to 1980. The new Cyberster is going to have a convertible body with an all electric powertrain. As of yet its believed that the Cyberster would have a Two Seater roadster lay out with a Twin motor powertrain. Both the motors would power the rear as well as the front axle independently. MG has promised a power output of around 510 PS with a peak torque figure of around 725 Nm. This would be one of the most powerful car that MG has ever launched and would have the capability to do 0 to 100 in just 3.2 seconds.
If that’s not all the vehicle would be equipped with a double wishbone suspension with a five link suspension setup in the rear that would make the vehicle nimble and easy to handle as well. Beyond that this would provide the vehicle with the ability to carry the laden weight of the battery packs much more efficiently as well without any handling issues.
MiFa 9
March 2025 would be big month for MG as they would be launching their EV MPV the Mifa 9 Ev in march 2025. The vehicle would have a design similar to that of other MPV’s such as the Toyota Vellfire and the Kia Carnival. The Mifa 9 would bring with it a blend of comfortable and spacious interiors with sliding doors for easy ingress for the rear passengers.
The Mifa 9 would be powered by a 90KWh battery pack and a front axle mounted motor that would provide a peak Horse power of around 245 Bhp and a peak torque figure of around 350 Nm. As of yet the projected range of the vehicle would be around 430 km, and the vehicle would cost around Rs 65 lakhs.
MG 4 Hatch Back
The MG 4 hatch back would be launched in India the next year and unlike the other cars this one would be more accessible and would be much more affordable. The car would be based on the E2 platform and the India spec variant would come with a 64 Kwh battery pack that would provide the vehicle with a driving range of around 450 km per full charge.
MG 5 station Wagon
Station wagons have not been a famous segment in India, with only a few cars such as the Tata Indigo Marina, but the segment would again gain a new competitor such as the MG5. The car would be based on the on the E2 platform and the car would be powered by a 61 KWH battery pack that would provide the vehicle with a driving range of around 485 km. The vehicle just like the hatchback would have a FWD lay out with about 156 PS of power and about 280 Nm of torque.
