New Delhi: MG Motor India has recently launched the new electric car MG Comet. It has been touted as a competitor to the Tata Tiago EV since its inception. Earlier the company had only announced its initial price. Now the prices of all its variants have come to the fore.

MG Comet EV can be bought in three variant options Pace, Play and Plush. With this, MG has confirmed that the delivery of this new electric car will start from May 15, 2023. Know about it…

How big is the Chotu Electric Car in size?

The MG Comet measures 2974mm in length, 1505mm in width and 1640mm in height. Whereas it has a wheelbase of 2010mm. This car is smaller than Maruti Alto K10 and Tata Nano in terms of length.

Comet EV Features

Two screens of 10.25 inches have been given in this car. One of these is for infotainment and the other for digital instrument. Also, the car gets wireless phone connectivity, more than 55 car-connected features, keyless entry, manual AC, USB port, steering mount controls.

Apart from this, tire pressure monitoring system, ABS, EBD, reverse camera and parking sensor have also been provided in the car for safety.

Comet EV battery pack

A 17.3kWh battery pack is available in this electric car, which is connected to a single electric motor. The combo of both gives 42bhp power and 110Nm torque. Automatic gearbox has been given to handle it. Whereas its motor comes with RWD.

MG Comet EV Price

The pace variant of Comet EV i.e. the base model costs 7.78 lakhs. Its play variant comes in 9.28. Whereas the plush models cost Rs 9.98 lakh. In comparison, the price of Tiago EV starts from 8.69 lakhs and goes up to 11.99 lakhs.

Overall, the Comet EV is much cheaper than the Tiago electric car. There is a difference of about Rs 2 lakh in the top models of both. All these are ex-showroom prices. Also, these prices are for the first 5,000 customers. After this the prices of EV may increase slightly.
