MG Comet EV: MG Motor India, on Wednesday, launched the Comet, their most affordable EV. From May 15, 2023, the firm will accept reservations through its website and official dealerships. MG Comet EV is the Indian version of the company’s Wuling Air EV, which is also available in Indonesia.

MG claims that charging it for the entire month will cost only Rs 519. Which is the same as the price of a pizza. This price was computed based on a 1,000-kilometer run. This means it can be run up to 2 km for Re 1. However, depending on the electricity tariff, operating costs may differ from state to state.

The vehicle is equipped with voice commands. Simply saying ‘Hello MG’ will activate it. The automobile comes with a digital key. The MG Comet EV can travel up to 230 kilometres on a single charge. The battery in the automobile is 17 kWh. This engine produces 41hp and has a maximum torque of 110 Nm.

The ex-showroom pricing of this tiny electric car with an appealing appearance and boxy design is Rs 7.98 lakh. This is by far the most affordable electric vehicle on the Indian market. Tata Tiago EV is its direct competitor. Which is priced at Rs 8.69 lakh ex-showroom.
MG Comet EV features
It is a very little electric vehicle. The vehicle is outfitted with LED illumination. It measures 1,640 mm in length and 1,505 mm in width. It has steel wheels that are 12 inches in diameter. The vehicle has two side gates and a rear tailboard.
MG Comet has linked automobile technologies, dual-tone interiors, wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and a sunroof. The automobile will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Voice commands and other controls are located on the right side of the steering wheel.
MG Comet colour options
LED strips have been installed at the front and rear of the vehicle. It has short wheels and a large quarter glass, giving it a boxy appearance. The MG Comet EV is available in three single-tone colours: White, Black, and Silver. The Comet EV also comes in two dual-tone colours: green with black roof and white with black roof.
