New Delhi: MG Motor is preparing to launch the facelift version of its popular compact SUV, the MG Astor, in the Indian market. The British car company recently released a teaser for the new Astor. The MG SUV was first launched in India in 2011, and it is the first SUV in India to be launched with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. The upcoming Astor SUV will compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The teaser image of the 2023 MG Astor facelift reveals a subtle look for the upcoming SUV. According to the company, the facelifted version of the Astor will be the most advanced SUV in its class. However, it appears to have a similar design to the currently available model. It is said that the new Astor will come with better features.

The 2023 MG Astor model could feature excellent tech features. It may come with a large touchscreen infotainment system and new software graphics. According to MG Motor, the Astor will offer a unique blend of technology and luxury. It will become the most advanced SUV in its segment. The company has also presented the SUV in the Havana Grey color.
MG Astor Facelift: Expected Features
The facelifted MG Astor may come with a 14-inch infotainment system, similar to the one offered in the Hector facelift. Currently, the Astor comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment system. There is also a possibility of updating the instrument cluster with new software and graphics. It may borrow some unique features from the Hector SUV facelift.

However, there may be little to no changes in the engine. MG Motor might retain the existing 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.5-liter engine could come with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the turbo engine may be paired with a 6-speed torque converter. Currently, the base variant of the Astor has an ex-showroom price of INR 10.81 lakhs, while the top-spec variants are priced at INR 17 lakhs.
