Mercedes -AMG E63 S, E53 4 Matic + Recall
The Recall filing states that for both the AMG E class models the electrical coupling connector fails under certain circumstances and may fall short of current specifications. Such an issue may lead to water ingress in the coupling and may cause a short circuit compromising the whole wiring harness. This may also lead to a thermal overload when the car is parked.
Mercedes Benz Cle Cabriolet
The Cle Cabriolet is being recalled due to a missing warning label about the automatic front passenger airbag shutoff, this would only cause a problem when a rearward-facing child seat is installed in the front and owners are unaware of the front air-bag thinking that it would deactivate by itself. Since the airbag remains always active, using a child seat in this location might cause an issue. , this could increase the risk of injury. And Mercedes would place a sticker to ensure that owners are aware of the risk.
The fault from Cle is rather less impactful and may cause issues only in certain cases in which the user is using a child seat. Regardless its pretty dangerous and may cause issues for the users and hence the brand has been planning to recall a few specific models that might suffer from such issues.
