India: Mercedes-Benz has introduced the latest iteration of its luxurious SUV, the Mercedes Benz GLC. This new model comes equipped with a potent 2.0-litre petrol engine, featuring a four-cylinder turbocharged design that delivers an impressive power output of 258 PS at 5,800 rpm.

Known for its opulence, Mercedes-Benz has continued its legacy with the launch of the updated GLC SUV. Interested buyers can own this sophisticated vehicle at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 73.5 lakh.

Remarkable Pre-Launch Interest

Prior to its official launch, the vehicle has garnered considerable attention, with more than 1500 bookings already made. Lance Bennett, the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz India, anticipates a double-digit sales growth this year, with the GLC contributing around 15% to the total sales figure.

Tech-Savvy Upgrades

The new GLC boasts a 2.0-litre petrol engine and spans a length of 4,716 mm. Inside, it offers a 12.3-inch driver display along with a biometric authentication system for enhanced security. Interested buyers can secure their booking by visiting a Mercedes-Benz dealership and paying a token amount of Rs 1.50 lakh.

Variants and Design

The model will initially be available in two variants: GLC 300 4Matic and GLC 220d 4Matic. It stands at a width of 2,075 mm and features updated elements such as sleek headlights, a panoramic sunroof, and new eyebrow-style daytime driving lights. The car’s height measures 1,640 mm, while the wheelbase spans 2,888 mm.

Performance and Features

Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz GLC is equipped with a four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating 258 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque at 5,800 rpm. An 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system graces the interior, accompanied by a 360-degree camera, LED headlights, ambient lighting with 64 color options, and multi-zone temperature control.
