Maruti Suzuki, a leading car manufacturer, is poised to introduce an upgraded version of its popular hatchback, the Maruti Swift. Alongside, the company is gearing up to launch the Flex Fuel and Electric variants of its high-selling car, the Maruti Wagon R. The electric WagonR, also known as Maruti eWX, was recently showcased at the Japan Auto Show, signaling Maruti’s electric venture. Here’s an overview of Maruti’s upcoming cars.

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024

The brand recently unveiled its new car at the Japan Mobility Show, igniting excitement among car enthusiasts. The updated Swift boasts the new Z-series petrol unit, promising enhanced mileage and speed on the road. Although the official launch date remains undisclosed, media reports speculate a mid-2024 introduction. Viral social media photos depict the revamped car, featuring a fresh black-colored grille, a sleek bonnet shell, and redesigned headlights with LED DRLs.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will house a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a probable CNG option. While powertrain specifics and pricing details remain undisclosed, estimates suggest power up to 100 hp and torque up to 120 Nm. The base model is expected to start at Rs 5.99 lakh ex-showroom.

Maruti eVX

This could mark Maruti’s entry into the EV segment in India. Spotted during testing, the eVX is projected for a late 2024 or 2025 launch. Offering an impressive range of up to 550 km on a full charge, the futuristic eVX was initially showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. It measures 4300 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1600 mm in height, featuring a 60kWh battery pack and a wheelbase of 2700 mm.

Suzuki eWX

With a single charge range of 230 km, the eWX is perceived as the electric version of the Wagon R. The car measures 3395 mm in length, 1475 mm in width, and 1620 mm in height. A viral video showcased C-shaped lighting units and body-colored bumpers, complemented by a two-spoke steering wheel.

Maruti Dzire 2024

Anticipated changes include a dual-tone dashboard and a floating infotainment system. Expected to sport a three-cylinder, 1.2-litre engine, the Dzire will also offer an alloy wheel variant and the choice of CNG. Set for a mid-2024 release, the car is currently available starting at Rs 7.64 lakh ex-showroom, with potential alterations in the front grill, bumper, and fog lights.
