New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has launched a new version of its car Alto K10. This car comes in 4 manual and 2 automatic variants. This car is offered in 6 color options. It is powered by a 1.0L DualJet, dual VVT petrol engine producing 67bhp power and 89Nm of torque. Coming with the start/stop system, the mileage of this car is 24.39kmpl in manual transmission and 24.90kmpl in automatic transmission. The starting ex-showroom price of this car is Rs. 3.99 lakhs. There is also buzz that Maruti may also launch a CNG variant of the new Alto K10.
What will the CNG model be like?
The new Alto K10 is expected to be built in the same CNG version as the Maruti Celerio with a 1.0-litre petrol engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG kit. This engine can generate 57bhp power and 82 Nm maximum torque. The Celerio CNG mileage is 35.60 km/kg. The CNG model of the new Maruti Alto K10 is also expected to get a similar capability.
What are the features
The new Maruti Alto K10 has been changed a lot from the outside and inside. Changes have been made in it like a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, side AC vents, smartphone connectivity, sporty all-black interior and upright dashboard. The steering wheel, interior door handles and control stock of this car have been designed like the company’s new Celerio.
Grand Vitara will be the next step
After the launch of the new Alto K10, now the company is going to roll out its Grand Vitara SUV. This mid-size SUV will compete directly with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider in the segment.
How will the Grand Vitara be
The Grand Vitara has been developed by Maruti and Toyota with shared technology. The features, components and powertrain available in it will be given only the same as the Toyota Highrider. But the look of these two models is different. Maruti is going to launch this car in September.
