Maruti Suzuki launched a new SUV in the Indian market on September 3. This new vehicle will compete with popular models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushak and Volkswagen Tiguan in the compact SUV segment.
According to the company’s plan, this SUV will be positioned between Brezza and Grand Vitara (GV). There is a lot of enthusiasm among the customers about this new SUV and many new features are expected in it.
This SUV will be based on Suzuki’s Global C platform, which is also used in the Grand Vitara. According to video reports, its length and width will be close to the Grand Vitara. To give a better look than the competitive models, this SUV has been fitted with newly designed DRL headlamps and headlights. Its split DRL and headlamp configuration, as well as high bonnet, have been seen in spy shots, which will give it a tremendous presence on the road.
Keeping in mind the diverse needs of the customers, Maruti Suzuki can offer this SUV with multiple engine options. At launch, it is expected to be powered by the K15C 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine that is already used in the Grand Vitara, XL6, Brezza and Ertiga. However, this engine could be tuned differently for this new SUV, producing around 101 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque.
