New Delhi: In view of the rising prices of petrol and diesel, the demand for electric vehicles is now increasing rapidly in the auto sector. That’s why vehicle manufacturers are focusing more on the electric segment. According to the information, the country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is preparing to bring back its best selling family car Maruti Suzuki Omni in electric variant.

Maruti Omni Electric Car Power Range

The company can use powerful battery backup in the electric variant of this car. Due to which the power range of this car can be from 300 km to 400 km.

Maruti Omni electric car design

Some time ago, some students from the automobile sector together prepared some designs for the Omni car. It is believed that the company can use these designs in the electric variants of Omni. Integrated LED DRLs with head lamp, fog lamps under the bumper, LED indicators, body colored outside review view mirrors can be given in the new Omni. At the same time, the sliding door in its rear can be retained as before and LED tail light can be given in its back side. Changes can also be seen in terms of size.

Maruti Suzuki Launching

Maruti Suzuki has not officially given any information for this electric variant of Omni. But it is expected that it can be introduced by the end of 2030. Be it two wheeler manufacturing companies or four wheelers, now almost all the companies are engaged in converting their best selling vehicles into electric vehicles.

Compete with

This car from Maruti Suzuki Maruti will compete with PMV EAS E, it is a small EV for urban use. In which a 48-volt battery has been used. It is powered by a single electric motor, which generates 13.6PS of power and 50 Nm of torque. It gets a top speed of 70 kmph. In this, the option of three types of range is available 120 km, 160 km and 200 km.
