New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has commenced bookings for its new MPV, Invicto, with a booking amount of ₹25,000. Customers can visit the official website or a Nexa dealership for bookings. The price of this MPV, which is said to be a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Crysta, is expected to be revealed on July 5. It is anticipated to be Maruti’s first model with a price tag above ₹20 lakhs.
Exterior and Interior Features of Maruti Suzuki Invicto
The Invicto will differentiate itself from the Toyota Innova Crysta, as Maruti has incorporated a different grille, two chrome slats (extending up to the headlights), a redesigned bumper, new headlight and taillight inserts, and a distinct alloy wheel design.
In terms of the cabin, slight changes can be observed in its upholstery. Additionally, there might be some modifications in the features list, keeping in mind the pricing. However, the availability of Maruti Suzuki’s ADAS features in this car remains uncertain.
Engine Specifications of Maruti Suzuki Invicto
The higher-end trims of this MPV could be equipped with a 2.0L Strong Hybrid powertrain delivering 183 horsepower, which has been paired with Toyota’s E-CVT. On the other hand, the entry-level trim might come with a 2.0L petrol engine producing 173 horsepower, coupled with a CVT. This will make the Invicto Maruti Suzuki’s only car offering an automatic transmission.
Competition and Rivalry
Maruti Suzuki’s Invicto will enter the premium segment, where its primary competition will be the Toyota Innova Crysta. Subsequently, it will also rival the Kia Carnival, although the Invicto is slightly pricier in terms of its price point.
