New Delhi: Due to the RDE norms going to be implemented in the country from April 1, Maruti has updated its hatchback car Ignis. Now this car will be able to run on E-20 fuel. Apart from this, now safety features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist will also be seen in this car. Due to this, Maruti has also increased the price of this car by Rs. 27,000.

Maruti sells its Ignis car at an initial price of Rs 5.5 lakh. At the same time, buying its top variant will have to pay a price of Rs 7.9 lakh.

Maruti offers a 1.2-L 4-cylinder K-12 BS6 compliant petrol engine in this car, which gives the car maximum power of 83 PS and highest torque of 113 Nm. There is a choice of 5 speed manual (MT) and 5 speed (AMT) gearbox with this engine. The car offers a mileage of 20.89 km/l.
Cabin & Features
Talking about the features found in this car, it will have dual-tone black and light beige cabin with 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with SmartPlay Studio 2.0, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay infotainment system, Dual in Ignis for safety features.
