New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s leading car manufacturer, is currently under heavy booking pressure. The company currently has close to 380,000 pending bookings for its cars like Ertiga, Dzire, Grand Vitara, Jimny, Baleno, Franks and XL6.
Pending booking of maruti cars
The company has about 100,000 bookings pending for the best-selling MPV car Maruti Ertiga in India. After this, 40,000 bookings for Maruti’s compact sedan car Dzire and 34,000 bookings for mid-size SUV Maruti Grand Vitara are pending with the company.
These cars are also in strong demand
Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its 5 door lifestyle SUV Jimny SUV next month. But the company has already received more than 24,500 bookings for it. Along with this, Maruti is also going to launch a coupe SUV Maruti Suzuki Fronx this month, for which the company has received more than 16,500 bookings so far. Also, the company has over 20,000 pending bookings for one of its best-selling cars, the premium hatchback Baleno. At the same time, the company has more than 9,000 bookings pending for the premium MPV Maruti XL6.

How much will customers have to wait
Due to such high bookings for Maruti cars, customers will also have to wait a long time for the delivery. Currently, the highest waiting period is 33-34 weeks for the Maruti Ertiga. At the same time, customers will have to wait for 21-22 weeks for the delivery of Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Talking about the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, it will take 20-21 weeks for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, 16-17 weeks and the XL6 for 14-15 weeks.
Highest sales in the last financial year
Maruti Suzuki created a new record by selling the highest number of 1,966,164 units during the financial year 2022-23. Whereas earlier the company’s best record was to sell 1,862,449 units in the financial year 2018-19.
