Maruti's 'ideal car' has a 1.2 liter petrol engine that generates 90 bhp power and 113 Nm peak torque. Maruti also offers a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo booster jet petrol engine in it, which gives 100 bhp power and 147.6 Nm torque.

Within a month of its launch, the company sold a record 9,683 units in the domestic market. At the same time, within two months of launch, Maruti Suzuki Fronx exported around 556 units. There has been a lot of demand for this car from Latin America and Africa.
