The all-new Fronx is based on the same platform as the Baleno. In fact, it shares most parts with the Baleno and offers two engine options. The front end of the all-new Fronx looks heavily inspired by the all-new Grand Vitara in the Indian market. However, the Baleno silhouette is clearly visible on the vehicle.

The front part is equipped with a wide chrome strip crossing the large radiator grille. Maruti Suzuki says the Fronx is aerodynamically designed with an upright front and rear fascia.

There are many features that Fronx and Baleno share as ORVM. The wheel arches are angular, which ensures a muscular and robust appearance. The Fronx offers much more ground clearance than the Baleno. However, the brand has not yet revealed the official ground clearance of the Fronx. It ensures that Fronx can go anywhere.

The cabin of the all-new Fronx gets a two-tone theme with Baleno-like steering, infotainment and instrument cluster. You also get features like a wireless car charger and faux leather. The 9.0-inch free-floating SmartPlay infotainment system also offers connectivity options such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

There is also automatic air conditioning. The car also offers steering wheel controls and six airbags similar to the Baleno. In fact, most of the features available in the Fronx are similar to the Baleno hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki will offer both the 1.0-litre Boosterjet and the 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine with the Fronx. The 1.0-litre Boosterjet is a turbo-petrol engine that returns to the Indian market after the Baleno RS was discontinued. It delivers a maximum power of 100.06 hp at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 147.6 Nm.

Maruti Suzuki is yet to announce the prices of the Fronx. The brand is also currently testing a CNG variant of the Fronx, which could be launched alongside the petrol variants. Maruti Suzuki is currently focusing on CNG cars in the market.

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
