Maruti Suzuki India Limited was presented with a comprehensive 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating for its e Vitara – India’s first global EV – by Shri Nitin Gadkari. The e Vitara, voluntarily submitted for Bharat NCAP assessment, strengthens the company’s 5-star Bharat NCAP–related vehicle portfolio, alongside the all-new Dzire, Vitara, and Invicto.
The all-new, made-in-India e Vitara is built on Suzuki’s all-new HEARTECT-e platform, exclusively designed for electric vehicles to deliver exceptional strength, structural rigidity, and advanced high-voltage protection. Designed and tested for “Sand to Snow” extreme temperature conditions across the world, e Vitara batteries ensure optimal performance from as high as 60°C to as low as -30°C. The e Vitara is powered by 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options. The e Vitara showcases superior performance, excellent range, and unparalleled comfort for all travellers.

Speaking on the award, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, said,
