New Delhi: Out of the top 10 best selling cars in January 2023, 7 models are from Maruti Suzuki. Out of these seven models, there are two models whose sales have decreased on an annual basis while the sales of five other models have increased on an annual basis. The models whose sales have decreased include Swift and Dzire.
However, Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the only sedan, which has retained its place in the top-10 selling cars. The Dzire has been selling well in the recent past despite the decline in the market for sedan cars.

Even in January 2023, more than 10,000 units of Maruti Dzire have been sold, but still the sales remained less as compared to January 2022. In January 2023, the company has sold a total of 11,317 units of Dzire as compared to 14,967 units sold in the same period last year. That is, there is a 24 percent decline in sales on an annual basis. However, at the same time it remained the 10th best selling car in the country and remained the best selling sedan.
About Maruti Dzire
The price of Maruti Dzire ranges from 6.24 Lakh – 9.18 Lakh (Ex-showroom). It comes with a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine, along with which a CNG kit is also offered. On petrol this engine generates 90 PS power and 113 Nm torque while on CNG it generates 77 PS power and 98.5 Nm torque.

It gets the option of 5-speed manual standard and 5-speed AMT gearbox. However, the CNG variant comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It can deliver a mileage of 24.12 kmpl on petrol while it offers a mileage of 31.12 kmpl on CNG.
