New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki recently launched its 5-door off-roading SUV, Jimny, which competes with Mahindra Thar. Since its introduction in January, this car has been witnessing tremendous demand among customers, which has further increased after the price announcement.
Maruti Suzuki’s Senior Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales), Shashank Srivastava, recently revealed that the daily average bookings for the Maruti Jimny have seen a significant surge.
So far, the company has received 31,000 bookings for this SUV. Initially, before the price was disclosed, the company was receiving 92 bookings per day. However, after the price announcement, the daily bookings for this SUV have increased to 151.
The starting price of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is INR 12.74 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base variant. The top variant of this car is priced at INR 15.05 lakhs (ex-showroom). These prices are for the ex-showroom model.
Regarding the waiting period for the Jimny, it has now extended to 7-8 months due to the rising demand.
Some of the features available in the Maruti Jimny include optimized bumpers, LED headlights with washers, alloy wheels, gunmetal gray grille with chrome plating, hill hold assist, hill descent control, brake LSD, and six airbags for safety.
