New Delhi: Maruti Grand Vitara prices have been revealed for the Indian market. The SUV model range is available in a total of 10 variants in Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+ and Alpha+ trim levels. While the mild hybrid variants are offered in the price range of Rs 10.45 lakh – Rs 16.89 lakh, the powerful hybrid models Zeta+ and Alpha+ are priced at Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh respectively. It should be noted that the above prices are indicative, ex-showroom.
The SUV can also be had on lease with a monthly subscription starting at Rs 27,000. Compared to the powerful hybrid variants of the Toyota Hyryder, the Grand Vitara models are roughly Rs 50,000 more expensive. The prices of the Hyryder hybrid variants have not yet been published.
The Japanese automaker has announced the prices of the range-topping mild hybrid V automatic variant of the SUV, which is almost Rs 20,000 more expensive than the Alpha Grand Vitara automatic model. Based on the Suzuki Global C platform, the Maruti Grand Vitara comes with a 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder intelligent hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5-litre three-cylinder TNGA Atkinson cycle petrol engine. The mild hybrid setup delivers 103bhp and 136Nm with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It comes with the optional Suzuki AllGrip AWD system.
The powerful hybrid power unit returns a claimed output of 92 hp at 5,500 rpm and a torque of 122 Nm at 4,400 rpm. It is paired with an AC synchronous motor that is good for 79bhp and 141Nm. Combined power is 115 horsepower. With a 6-speed e-CVT transmission, the powerful hybrid Maruti Grand Vitara offers a fuel economy of 28 kmpl.
The new Maruti SUV comes in 9 exterior color variants including 6 monotone and 3 dual tone. The color palette includes Chestnut Brown, Arctic White, Nexa Blue, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver with Black, Arctic White with Black and Opulent Red with Black. Its total length is 4345 mm, width 1795 mm and height 1645 mm. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2600 mm.
Its key features include a wider radiator grille with chrome strips, chrome bodywork, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Pro+ connectivity, digital instrument panel, 360-degree camera, head-up display, wireless charging, automatic air conditioning, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, electrically operated windows, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, electronic stabilization program, hill assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts and disc brakes on all four wheels.
