New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki launched the new CNG avatar of its famous compact SUV Maruti Brezza in the domestic market on 17 March. The new Brezza has taken the market by storm as a CNG SUV, due to high demand, customers will have to wait for months for the delivery of this SUV. According to media reports, the waiting period for the new Brezza CNG has reached almost 6 months in some cities of the country. It is being told that the highest demand for this SUV has been seen in Tier-1 city.

The rising prices of petrol and diesel have made most of the vehicle buyers vocal towards other fuel options and CNG is considered to be the most accessible and economical in this matter. Till now the option of company fitted CNG vehicles was limited to hatchbacks and sedans only, but after Maruti Brezza CNG comes into the market, customers can buy a CNG SUV at a lower cost as well. Although earlier Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyrider were available in CNG variants, but their prices are higher.

According to media reports, the waiting period for the Brezza CNG is getting longer. The average waiting period for all its variants is three to four months from the day of booking. This waiting period is for Mumbai. At the same time, it is also being claimed in some reports that one will have to wait for about 6 months for the delivery of this SUV in a city like Bengaluru.

How is Maruti Brezza CNG:

Maruti Suzuki has introduced this CNG SUV in a total of 4 trims, the starting price of which is Rs 9.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Brezza CNG is available in LXI, VXI and ZXI variants of the petrol model, and costs around Rs. 95,000 more than the petrol model. In this, the company has used a petrol-CNG engine of 1.5 liters capacity, which is also seen in Grand Vitara and Ertiga.

This engine generates 100.6PS power and 136Nm torque in petrol mode. However, in CNG mode, its power output drops slightly and in such a situation, this engine generates power of 87.8PS. The company has given the option of only 5-speed manual transmission gearbox in the CNG variant.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG Price

The company says that the new Brezza S-CNG is designed to offer customers an eco-friendly motoring experience while being equipped with features like electric sunroof, cruise control, SmartPlay Pro infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless push Has been designed for. The company claims that this SUV gives a mileage of up to 25.51 km per kg (CNG).

Maruti Suzuki’s CNG portfolio now includes cars like Alto 800, Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Wagon R, Celerio, Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Grand Vitara, XL6 and Ertiga. With the launch of the all-new Brezza S-CNG, Maruti Suzuki now has 14 CNG vehicles in its vehicle portfolio. All cars sold through Maruti Suzuki Arena are now available with the option of S-CNG technology.
