New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki is continuously increasing its CNG lineup. The company has recently launched its XL6 and Baleno in CNG variants. Now the company is also going to bring its Maruti Brezza SUV in CNG avatar. This will be the first SUV in its segment, which will be offered with CNG. The facelift avatar of this SUV was introduced in July 2022. Since then there has been a huge jump in the sales of this vehicle. It was launched at an initial price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
CNG kit will come in four variants
As per the leaked information so far, Maruti Suzuki will offer the CNG powertrain in all the variants of the Brezza currently available. This includes the LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ variants of the new generation Brezza. Maruti may offer CNG with the automatic transmission variant as well. This will be seen for the first time.
Would be the design
As far as the design is concerned, there will not be any significant change in the Brezza CNG. The biggest change will be in the bootspace where the CNG kit will be installed. In this, only the new K series petrol engine of 1.5 liters will be given. It generates power of around 100 bhp and peak torque of 136 Nm. The performance output is expected to be slightly lower in CNG mode.
In terms of mileage, it is being said that the Brezza CNG will give a mileage of around 30 kmpl. Like the Ertiga and XL6, a 60-litre CNG kit can be found in it. Prices of Maruti Brezza CNG variants are expected to start from under ₹ 9 Lakh. When launched, it is expected to be the most affordable CNG SUV in the market.
