New Delhi: The XUV700 has not only been one of the best-selling SUVs from Mahindra since its launch in 2021 but it has also always had a long waiting period. As reported last month, the waiting period for the XUV700 was up to 13 months, however, it has now come down to 3-4 months.
- The entry-level MX, AX3 trims of the XUV700 have the shortest waiting period.
- There is a waiting period of up to 9 months on the top-spec AX7L.
Mahindra XUV700 waiting period
The entry-level MX and AX3 trims have the shortest waiting period of up to 4 months, while the top-spec AX7 and AX7L currently have the maximum waiting period of between 8-9 months. Meanwhile, the average waiting period for the mid-spec AX5 trim is 6 months.
The waiting period for the AX7 and AX7L petrol and diesel variants of the SUV has come down to 6 months as compared to last November. Meanwhile, the waiting period for the MX and AX3 petrol variants has increased by around 2 months, while the waiting period for the diesel versions has come down by around six months.
Interestingly, the disparity in waiting period between the petrol and diesel variants has also gone away.
The reduction in waiting period can be attributed to the fact that Mahindra is gradually increasing the production of the XUV700, from 6,000 units to 10,000 units per month by March 2024.
