The increasing demand for Mahindra’s Thar, Scorpio, and XUV700 in India has led to longer delivery times. The shortage of semiconductor parts has further contributed to delays in customer deliveries. However, recent reports suggest that waiting times for these three vehicles will now be significantly reduced. Mahindra, a popular brand in the SUV segment, faces challenges in meeting the high demand for these models but is taking steps to improve delivery times.
A recent report indicated a reduction in the waiting period for the Mahindra Thar, Scorpio, and XUV700 models. Specifically, the waiting time for the Mahindra Scorpio and Scorpio N has been reduced. Previously, customers had to wait up to 5 months for delivery, but now the wait has decreased to 3-4 months. The minimum waiting time for the Scorpio S model is 8 weeks. Both the petrol MT and diesel MT variants of Scorpio and Scorpio N are experiencing high demand. The price range for the Scorpio starts from Rs 13.60 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.54 lakh.
The waiting period for the Mahindra XUV700 has now reduced to less than two months, a significant improvement from the previous wait time of two years. Similarly, the waiting time for the Thar has also been reduced to less than two months.
Currently, the highest demand is for the 4X2 variant of the Thar, while the demand for the 4X4 variant is comparatively lower. The ex-showroom price of the Thar ranges from Rs 15.40 lakh to Rs 17.60 lakh.
