New Delhi: The XUV 700 SUV is one of the best selling models of Mahindra in India. The company has informed that it will introduce the electric version of the XUV700 by the end of 2024. The company introduced the electric SUV as its concept avatar (Mahindra XUV.e8) at an event in the UK last year. This electric SUV will come under the company’s new electric-only sub-brand XUV.e.
Will get tremendous range
The electric model will be based on the INGLO platform, which is claimed to use a common battery pack design with standardized cell-to-pack technology. Based on INGLO architecture, the company will get support of 175kW fast charger in all electric SUVs, so that its battery can be charged up to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The company claims that this SUV will get a range of 435km–450km with an 80kWh battery pack.
Design
The Mahindra XUV.e8 SUV concept featured a closed-off front grille, bumper mounted headlamps, full wide LED light bars running down the bumper, a sharp contoured bonnet and angular design. However, its rear profile looks similar to its ICE version.
Will be bigger in size
The Mahindra XUV 700 Electric SUV measures 4740mm in length, 1900mm in width and 1760mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2762mm. This SUV will come with longer, wider and more space than its electric version. The company has already revealed that the XUV700 electric will come with a battery pack of up to 80kWh and an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. Its electric motor will generate power of 230bhp to 350bhp. It will get vehicle-to-load (V2L) function along with a host of other features.
Will compete with MG ZS EV
This electric SUV will compete with the MG ZS EV, which offers a range of up to 461 km per charge with two battery packs.
