New Delhi: Vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has opened the booking window of its new XUV 400 electric SUV from today i.e. 26 January 2023. This car was introduced in the Indian market last year, while the company has recently launched this vehicle. The initial ex-showroom price of this vehicle has been kept at Rs 15.99 lakh. This car has come in the market in two variants like EC and EL. The ex-showroom price of its top model has been kept at Rs 18.99 lakh. Although this is an introductory price, which will be valid only on the booking of the first 5,000 units. This vehicle will start reaching customers from March this year.

How is this car?

This car has been brought in two variants, in which the EC variant of the XUV400 has been equipped with a 34.5 kWh lithium ion battery pack, while the top variant EL has a 39.4 kWh battery pack. In which charging options of 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW are available respectively. Prices start from Rs. 16.49 lakhs for the base variant with the bigger battery pack.

How much is the range?

Talking about the range of the Mahindra XUV 400, it is claimed to have the most range in the segment. The company is talking about getting a range of 456 kilometers per charge from the top variant of this car. Whereas with a smaller battery pack, it can get a range of up to 375 kilometers per charge. The same electric motor has been used in all the variants of this car. Which is capable of giving maximum power of 150 PS and maximum torque of 310 Nm. There are three different driving modes like Fun, Fast and Fearless in this car. This car can achieve 0-100 kmph speed in just 8.3 seconds.

Will compete with Tata Nexon EV

Tata’s Nexon EV is currently dominating the segment of compact electric SUVs. Which will also compete with Mahindra’s new car. Tata Nexon has more variants available. The ex-showroom price of Tata Nexon EV ranges between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 17.50 lakh.
