After recently updating the Thar three-door version, Mahindra is now all set to give its premium 7-seater SUV a makeover. The new 7-seater has been spotted testing with a new front fascia, along with redesigned front and rear bumpers. Just like that of the current model, the XUV700 facelift aims to redefine the D-SUV segment with a major fascia redesign, along with a thorough interior overhaul.
The new SUV has been spotted a few times. The earlier shots had revealed that the front fascia was similar to that of the older version, but newer spy shots have revealed that the new 7-seater will now have a redesigned front fascia and a slew of more subtle design changes along the body.

The spotted SUV, spotted with black tapes stretched along the breaks in the panels, may be this was done to reduce drag coefficient — but who knows. A slew of data points are measured while the vehicle is tested.

On the side of the SUV, a sticker read "E20 fuel only." This probably was the petrol version of the vehicle that was being tested.
Apart from a revised front fascia, as well as a redesigned barrel projector headlight, a new LED DRL signature and a radar module for the ADAS suite is also possible.
Interior Overhaul
The XUV700’s interior will supposedly be updated with a slew of changes. The new version will probably have a triple-screen dashboard layout, similar to the one we had earlier seen on the XUV.e9. The notable features may include the inclusion of an auto-dimming IRVM, and an inclusion of a BYOD element for the rear seat occupants. And it's possible that Mahindra might add second-row ventilated seats as well.
Engine and Performance
The new XUV700 will be powered with the same duo of engines as the current model. These will include a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, with up to 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, and a 2.2L diesel with up to 185 bhp and 450 Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. AWD options will also be there too.
