Being perceptive of the range of electric SUV’s in the Indian market Mahindra has sought to launch new EV SUV’s that can easily compete with the counterparts. While the market has been waiting for the XEV9e. Mahindra seems to be pacing up for another launch that would soon follow the XEV 9e.
In a recent turn of events Mahindra seems to be working on the launch of new XEV7e a EV that would be based on the XUV 700.
New Test Mule Spotted
Images of the pre production spec of Mahindra XEV 7e have been circulating over the internet. As per the images the new vehicle would be solely based on the new XUV 700 and would probably a ICE version turned into EV. As per the images it seems that some of the design elements that have been witnessed on the XEV9E would be seen on the new XEV7e as well.
Mahindra XEV7e :
Upon its launch the car would be placed below XEV 9e and above BE 6.
From the design point of view the New EV would closely mimic the design of the new XEV 9e. The car would get connected DRL’s along with a illuminated logo on the front fascia of the car.
It gets identical tail lights that would be connected in the middle and run along the breadth of the car. The car would look very similar to the ICE version of XUV 700 on which the electric SUV is based.
While the XEV 9e could be designed like a coupe due to the lack of rear passenger seats, the XEV7e EV would have kind of a boxy design.
Safety Features
The Mahindra XEV 9e as well as BE 6 would soon set new standards for safety in the world of auto. Due to the ADAS level 2 safety protocols that have been instilled in the genesis of the vehicle the top variants would have safety features that are quite like any other vehicle in the Indian Market.
The XEV9e has profiling camera’s as well which allow it to profile the driver and adjust the seating as well as other features as per the desired settings of the driver. Beyond that the car would also have 360 degree surround camera and level 2 ADAS suite.

The most basic variant would be priced at 21,90,000 and the Top model the pack 3 has been priced at Rs 30,50,000, The XEV7e would be priced below this price range but above the prices of BE6 so the pricing can be around RS 21 lakh all the way up to 28 or 29 lakh Rs.
Inglo Architecture
Being based on the INGLO architecture the car would have battery packs beneath the flooring of the vehicle with shorter overhangs and other changes such as a flat floor devoid of any transmission tunnel as well. The car would possibly be powered by the same battery packs as seen on the BE6 a 59 KWh battery pack as well as a 79 kwh battery pack. The optimum range of the vehicle would be around 650 km.
