Price and Engine Options 

The Mahindra Bolero Neo is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh ex-showroom, while the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been priced at Rs 8.80 lakh.  The Bolero Neo is powered by a 1493 cc diesel engine, while the Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1462 cc petrol engine. The Bolero Neo comes only with a manual transmission, while the Ertiga offers both manual and automatic transmission options.

The 1.5 L M Hawk engine in Bolero Neo produces 100 bhp and 260 NM of torque. The rear wheel drive configuration with frequency-based dampening and multi-terrain tech makes it the best off-roader vehicle for uneven roads.  The Ertiga features a 1.5L K15 C smart Hybrid petrol engine that produces 102 Bhp and 136.8 Nm of torque

Boot space and Safety features

The Bolero Neo has a boot space of 384 litres, while the Ertiga has a 209 litres. The Ertiga CNG offers less; safety is a dynamic in which both vehicles lack, as earlier on, both these vehicles had scored poorly in their safety tests.

Mileage and Running Costs 

The Bolero Neo claimed a mileage of 17.29 km ( Diesel) with a city mileage of around 10-12 kmpl. The Ertiga petrol variant delivers up to 20.51 KM/l while the CNG model delivers up to 26.11 making the car an economical vehicle. If you seek a rugged SUV that can handle the B roads with ease, the Bolero could be the right choice; if you primarily drive on highways, the Eriga could be a better choice for the users.
