Mahindra has launched its two flagship SUVs- BE 6e and the XEV 9e on 26 November. The BE 6e rivals against the Tata Curvv EV.
Mahindra BE 6e Vs Tata Curvv EV: Design
Mahindra has recently unveiled it BE 6e. It has a very aggressive and futuristic look. The design comes along with sharp lines and bigger wheel arches. Adding to the aggressive look, it has a C-shaped LED headlamps, along with an illuminated new mahindra logo in the middle. The rear-end features a similar C- shaped tail light setup, with two spoiler giving it a more aggressive stance.
Tata Curvv EV also features the same coupe like design which looks sporty. This EV features a connected DRL and headlamps In the front. It has got bigger wheel arches, which housed the massive 18-inch wheels and body cladding running throughout. The rear features the coupe like roofline along with LED taillights.
Mahindra BE 6e Vs Tata Curvv EV: Powertrains and Charging
Mahindra BE 6e offers two battery packs: 59 kWh and 79 kWh, which will give out (231-286 hp).This BE 6e supports DC fast charging of up to 175 kW, bringing the 20 to 80 per cent time to just 20 minutes. BE 6e can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.7 seconds, making it fastest in the segment. It has claimed range of 682km.
The Tata Curvv EV has two battery packs options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh units. It has a claimed range of 502km for the 45kWh variant, while 55kWh variant gives out 585km. Charging time for the Tata Currv EV is 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes with a 70 kW+ fast charger. The electric motor delivers 167 hp and can go from 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.
Mahindra BE 6e Vs Tata Curvv EV: Dimensions
The BE 6e is 5-seater, has length of 4371mm, width of 1907 mm and has a wheelbase of 2775 mm. it offers a boot space of 455 litres.
Tata Curvv EV is 4310mm in length, 1810mm in width and 1637mm in height. It offers a wheelbase of 2560mm along with 500 litres of boot space.
Price Comparison
Mahindra BE 6e comes at an introductory price of Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). However the price for other variants will be announced soon.
The Tata Curvv EV is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh ( ex-showroom) and goes upto Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
