New Delhi: Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has launched its India-made Hunter 330 motorcycle in the United States. Where its price is almost double than that of India. For US customers, the ex-showroom price of this bike starts at US$ 3,999. Royal Enfield launched the Hunter 350 in India in August 2022 and has sold over 1 lakh units here in just six months. The company has built this bike on the J-platform of its Meteor 350 and Classic 350. Today we are going to compare the price of Hunter 350 in India and USA.
Price comparison
Hunter 350 prices in the US start from US$ 3,999 (Rs 3.26 lakh) for the monotone shades, going all the way up to US$ 4,199 (Rs 3.43 lakh) for the dual-tone shades.
Royal Enfield has currently introduced only the mid-spec Metro variant in the US. Which is almost twice as expensive as the Hunter 350 Metro sold in India. The ex-showroom price of this bike in India starts from Rs. 1.67 lakhs.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Powertrain
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 uses the company’s new 349 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which generates power of 19.9 hp at 6,100 rpm and peak torque of 27 Newton meters at 4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It gets dual-channel ABS and an analogue console paired with a small digital display for navigation information. The Hunter 350 gets 17-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on both the wheels and an LED taillamp.
Selling in other countries as well
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 sold in the US is manufactured at the plant in Tamil Nadu, India and is identical to the India spec model. The bike weighs 181 kg and is sold in other global markets like Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
Competes with Honda Hnes 350
This bike competes with Honda H’ness, it gets a 348.6cc engine. Its initial ex-showroom price is Rs 2.09 lakh.
