Lewis Hamilton has started his Ferrari testing recently. Following the two days of work at Ferrari, Hamilton took to Fiorino test track at 9.16 am local time on Wednesday. Hamilton has been testing the 2023 Ferrari chassis, this is the most recent version that the team is permitted to use for testing as per the F1’s Sporting Rules.

The rules allow competitors to make use of cars that are at least two years old , this means that the SF-23 could be rolled out for the testing.

But beyond that, a racecar driver is allowed to only 20 days of old car testing in the whole season, with just 4 days and a maximum of 1000 km for drivers.

Hamilton’s run is of imperative importance to the team since he was not able to participate in the Post season Abu Dhabi tire test last year. While the car that Hamilton uses for the season would be different but the testing would allow the champion to get a feel for the ferrari and adjust to the driving position as well as the way car reacts on corners.

Beyond that, this would be the first opportunity in which hamilton would work alongside with the new engineering team. The reactions as well as the feedback that Lewis shares would be of important use to engineers who are still putting the final touches to the project 677 which would be the 2025 car of the season.

As per previous reports Ferrari were planning to postpone the testing amid the sudden weather change, but they were seen testing the vehicle with wet tires amid terrible fog and a possibly damp track. There might have been a little drizzle when the practice would have started.

Hamilton Reunited With Angela Cullen

Angela Cullen the former trainer of Lewis Hamilton has rejoined him at his new team Scuderia Ferrari. Before the reunion was shared online there had been rumor’s of the friends enjoying a vacation together. But with this new announcement the pair have showcased their new pairing for the upcoming race season. Cullen would work as a physio and will form the part of the performance team overseen by race director Marc Hynes.
