Land Rover has unveiled the Defender 110 Trophy Edition, priced at Rs 1.30 crore. The New Trophy edition has been aimed at enthusiasts who value off-road capability and classic Defender Styling. The SUV is being offered solely with a diesel automatic powertrain in the 110 body trim.
The Defender 110 trophy Edition is powered by a 3.0 litre Inline Six, Twin turbocharged diesel engine that produces 350Hp and 700Nm of Torque, the engine is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission and comes standard with Four wheel wheel drive. Land Rover claims a 0-100 kph time o- 100 kph time of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of up to 191Kph.
The car would stand out with its dual-tone exterior, which would include a bunch of trophy-specific quirks such as a trophy-specific decal on the bonnet, C-pillars, and rear panels. These features would help the car stand out amongst the others.
Defender 110 Trophy Edition: Specifications and Upgrades
The New Trophy Edition would be equipped with 20-inch Gloss Black Wheels fitted with all-terrain tyres specifically designed to give the vehicle a formidable off-roading performance on all surface conditions. Other enhancements include a dark scuff plate, a black front under shield, and other features that enhance the SUV’s off-road capabilities.
The Defender has been further equipped with a bunch of expedition-related accessories that include added storage, a black roof ladder, and a side-mounted carrier for used tires. Customers would further have the option of equipping their vehicle with a raised air intake as well as a dust filtration system, with rear classic mud flaps, and better protection for changing terrains.
Defender 110 Interior and Comfort Features
The interior maintains the SUV’s utilitarian appeal with subtle design enhancements. The car would have Ebony Windsor leather upholstery and illuminated tread plates. Beyond that, the car would have an exposed cross-bar beam, painted to match the exterior paint job of the car.
The drivetrain and the mechanical setup, along with the suspension, would remain the same as before. The new edition offers a balanced amalgam of long-distance touring with classic off-road styling.
The Trophy Edition, Or the ‘Camel Trophy’, is an off-road vehicle-oriented competition that began in 1980, held annually until 2000. The event took its name from the Camel cigarette brand as its main sponsor and was also known as the Olympics of 4X4.
The New Land Rover range, comprising of the Range Rover, Land Rover Series 3, Land Rover 90, Land Rover 110, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery, and Freelander, was used in the competition with teh unique sand glow colour scheme. which the Defner has taken inspiration from.
