Supercars are often witnessed whizzing past onlookers in Mumbai on linking road as well as bandstand. But seldom do the onlookers get the opportunity to witness a Lamborghini engulfed in flames right in the middle of the road.
As per the recent news a Lamborghini Huracan burned to a char in front of the bystanders. Gautam Singhania ( Managing Director Raymond ) spotted the vehicle that caught fire, Gautam Singhania who was there at the moment posted online in a video. Often such cases are witnessed in Summers as super cars often run hot when being driven about with in the city limits. But it’s the first time such an incident has come across during the winter season.
Gautam Singhania wrote below the video posted by him
“A Lamborghini engulfed in flames on Coastal Road, Mumbai. Incidents like this raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety standards of Lamborghini. For the price and reputation, one expects uncompromising quality—not potential hazards.”
The owner of the vehicle was seen standing near the vehicle with a fire extinguisher in hand , even after using the extinguisher the fire could not be extinguished. The owner must have witnessed something unusual about the vehicle while driving that he stopped on the side of the road and got out to inspect the vehicle from the outside
Towards the end of the video its visible that a fire erupts in the engine compartment of the vehicle. Although the driver was trying his best to contain the fire but it seemed to have been erupting from the engine compartment and could not be tamed.
Gautam Singhnia who posted the video has been critical of Lamborghini ever since he test drove the Lamborghini Revuelto. While on the test drive the vehicle that Singhnia was driving faced some issues and faced issues. Mr Gautam Singhania who is a known billionaire owns several supercars himself as well. His garage consists of A Maserati Mc 20, Lotus Elsie, Two Mclarens and a few Ferrari Models.
The billionaire has projected his anguish towards the brand as even after his ruined Test drive the brand did not reciprocate with any kind of reply or official correspondence for him. As of yet quite a lot is unclear about the whole scenario, and maybe with time the owner would come forward to share what led to such an issue.
