Kia’s Sonet Equipped With Anti-Lock Braking System, Set To Hit Road on Dec 14

The Kia Sonet is hitting the market with an introductory price of ₹7.79 lakhs ex-showroom, offering a choice between a 1.2-liter petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel engine in GT Line and HT Line variants.

Kia Motors has announced the launch date of the much-awaited SUV we’ve been anticipating for a long time – the Kia Sonet. The company is set to unveil its new updated version, featuring impressive safety features.
The teaser suggests the inclusion of an advanced driver assistance system that issues alerts when objects approach too closely, helping in preventing road accidents.

The new Kia Sonet will feature more airbags, an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Hill Hold Assist, and a rear camera. A teaser released on social media indicates a full light strip at the rear of the Kia Sonet facelift. Changes have been made to its front grille and headlights. Currently, the company has not disclosed any information regarding its price or delivery date. It is rumored that there will be no changes to the powertrain, and the car’s ground clearance and wheelbase will remain unchanged.

The Kia Sonet, available in the market, starts at price of ₹7.79 lakhs ex-showroom. It offers a choice between a 1.2-liter petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, with two variants – GT Line and HT Line.
Expected to be available for purchase in the new year, the top model of the car is priced at ₹14.89 lakhs ex-showroom. Competing in the market with Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, this car comes equipped with alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The unveiling of this car is scheduled for 14th December at 12 PM.
