As per a slew of reports that have been recently published over the internet, KIA has revealed that it has been working on a all new EV that would sit below the EV2 in the market. Its possible that the new EV might be called the EV1. The concept rendering of the vehicle is expected to be revealed later with a launch slated for 2027. KIA has been planning to tap into the mass market with a new city car that would rival with the likes of Renault Twingo as well as Volkswagen Id.
Companies president Hu Sung Song confirmed that the brand has been internally contemplating the entry level model and what options do they have if they want to launch a new entry level EV model in the future. As per him the new car that KIA might launch would cost around 25,000 Euros. Referring to that fact that the new car would have a difference of about 5000 Euros between the Ev2 crossover and the existing EV3.
As per the details shared by the president it has become apparent that Kai has been planning to launch a new Entry level KIA EV car that would help the vehicle have a much better mass market appeal.

Beyond the new concepts that have been showcased at the EV day showcases that the new concept is a combination of timeless elegance and Rugged smoothness. The stand out feature of the car has been the customizable interior that would give the users the ability to change the interior as per the need of the hour. The concept has been showcased with rear suicide doors that might not be a feature of the production spec vehicle.
