KIA recently crash tested its newest addition to the sub compact SUV in the market The Syros. The Syros passed with flying colors achieving a 5 star rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment program. The New SUV went through the litmus test to score a perfect score for both Adult occupant protection and child occupant protection setting up a new benchmark in the segment. All vehicles that go under the test are rated against Adult occupant protection and Child Occupant protection out of 32 and 49 points. The Syros was able to score an adult occupancy score of around 30.21 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 44.42 for the child occupant protection.
Side Impact Test
The Syros was able to showcase its inherent strength and robust integrity in the side impact test where it was able to score a perfect 16 out of 16 points. Securing high occupant safety scores across multiple impact scenarios.
Advanced Safety Features
The KIA Syros has been equipped with 16 autonomous safety features which include ADAS level 2 features and 20 standard active and passive safety features. These make it one of the most profoundly protected SUV’s in its class. Beyond the Syros here are a few other vehicles that have been able to score highly in crash tests.
Tata Nexon
Tata Nexon was one of the first vehicles in the segment that went through the Global NCAP test and was able to score a near perfect score. The Vehicle scored a perfect 32.22 out of 34 in adult occupant safety and the car was able to score a 44.52 out of 49 for child occupant safety. Tata has always been a stalwart in the safety department; several cars from their line up have been able to score highly on crash tests. Apart from the Syros the Nexon could be a formidable competitor for you if you see a vehicle that can easily provide passengers with comprehensive protection under a crash.
Vitara Brezza
The New Vitara Brezza has not been crash tested as of yet, the older generation, 2 air bag version that was tested was able to score a 4 star rating for adult occupant safety and only 2 stars for child occupant safety. Since than a new version of the Brezza has been launched and it’s possible that it might be able to provide users with an even better adult occupancy safety rating.
Hyundai Venue
It was in the year 2019 that the Hyundai venue was crash tested under the ANCAP safety protocols. Hyundai Venue was able to score a 4 star adult occupant safety rating after going through a slew of tests that included a front collision. The version that was brought under scrutiny was possibly a global spec variant as it had curtain air bags as well.
