KIA Syros is all set to launch on Feburary 1 , bookings of the car have started already. The car has been positioned by KIA slightly above the KIA Sonet and below the Seltos. If you have been planning to buy a new KIA Sonet should you wait for the Syros? or continue with your decision to buy a Sonet? While the prices of the vehicle have not been revealed yet. Its possible that the Top model of the KIA Sonet compared to that of the middle or higher end model of the Syros would have similar pricing.

KIA Syros Bookings and Delivery Details

The prices of Syros have not yet been revealed, but we can expect the car to start selling below 10 Lakh Rs. Even at the price of about 10 Lakh Rs the price difference in both the vehicles would around roughly 1 lakh Rs. You can book the Syros at Rs 25,000, and the car deliveries would start by Feburary. The car would be unveiled at the Bharat mobility Expo for the audience to witness for the first time.

Performance

The Syros would be available with two engine options. The petrol variant would get a 1.0 -litre Turbocharged engine that produces around 120 BHP and a peak torque figure of around 172 NM.

The Diesel variant of the car would be powered with a 1.5 litre unit good for a performance output of 116 HP and a peak torque figure of around 250NM. Both the engines would be partnered with a 6 speed manual transmission, with the petrol variant offering a 7 speed DCT auto option as well. The Diesel variant would have a 6 speed torque converter unit.

Features

The feature list would include 17- inch alloy wheels, dual tone interiors leatherette interiors, ambient lighting, dual screen 12-13 inch screens for the infotainment and the instrumentation as well. The top model would have a 8 speaker sound system, front and rear ventilated seats, wireless charging, Powered Driver Seats, a 360Degree camera and ADAS level 2 tech.

Choosing Between The Sonet or the Syros

If you have been planning to buy a new KIA should you go for the Syros or the Sonet? Here are a few important aspects that you should consider before choosing any of the following. If you are planning to go for the top variant of the Sonet which is the GTX petrol Turbo Gtx with DCT transmission priced at 17.05 Lakhs waiting for the syros might be a valid option for you. As it would allow you to have a newer vehicle with a completely new styling ( the middle and the top of the line variants are likely to be priced closer to the Sonet top end variants). But if you have been seeking a entry level Sonet than waiting for the Syros would not be fruitful. Since KIA has been planning to bring the Syros above the Sonet, the Syros pricing would be a bit higher than the Sonet.

Expected Pricing of the KIA Syros

Although the prices of the Syros have not been revealed yet, here is a expected pricing of the KIA Syros.

KIA Syros HTK (o)

This variant of the vehicle would come equipped with an electric sunroof, 16 inch Diamond cut alloy wheels ( only in the diesel model), Roof Rails, Auto Folding Power Mirrors, Passenger Side Seat Back pocket. HTX (O) would be priced around the ball park figure of Rs 10 Lakh.

KIA Syros HTK +

This would be the primary variant in the whole line up to be offered with a 1.0 liter GDI turbocharged petrol engine. Some of the other stand out features would include Dual Pane Panoramic sunroof blue and grey dual tone upholstery and 16 inch alloy wheels as standard.

If you go with the 1.0 litre Automatic version of the vehicle you would get rear seat reclining facility, electric parking brakes, follow me home lights and Push Button Start. The prices of HTK+ would be around 11 Lakh Rs. The automatic variant could be priced around Rs 11.75 Lakh.

KIA Syros HTX

As we move up the KIA variant hierarchy, new features such as a leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob would become standard. Besides that you would also get LED head lamps and backlights. With this trim level you would also get ventilated seats one touch operations for all windows, and beyond that paddle shifters for models with automatic transmission model as well. The Syros HTX would be priced around Rs 12 Lakh for the manual the automatic could be priced around the figure of Rs 12.75 Lakh Rs.

KIA Syros HTX+ (Automatic)

With the HTX + model you would get 17 inch alloy wheels, puddle lamps, dual tone interior, Ambient lighting, Digital Instrument Cluster, Climate Control, Harman Kardon Sound System, Inbuilt Air Purifier, Dash Camera. Beyond that the vehicle in this variant would also get wireless charging, Automatic IRVM, Rear Disc Brakes as well as Rear Ventilation Seats. The diesel models would get a 6 speed automatic transmission and  the petrol would be available with a 7 speed DCT only in the HTX+ as well as the HTX+(O) versions. The expected pricing of HTX + could be around Rs 13.75 Lakh Rs.

KIA Syros HTX+O (Automatic)

This would be the priciest variant of them all and would have all the features available across the variants included. This variant would also come with a 360 degree cameras as well as a level 2-ADAS safety features over the previous model. Although the official pricing has not been revealed yet the model could be priced around Rs 14.75 Lakh Rs or above .
