New Delhi: It was expected that Kia could present the facelifted version of the Seltos at the Auto Expo 2023. But that did not happen, Kia only showed its two new cars – the EV9 (Concept) and the KA4.

The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is already on sale in select international markets including South Korea and the US, hence speculation that it might be brought to India at the Auto Expo 2023. Currently, according to new media reports, the SUV may now be launched in the second quarter of this year (around April).

Features

Its cabin is likely to remain largely similar to the current model. It will get a panoramic display that combines a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch center display. The infotainment unit supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with navigation and voice commands. It could come with features like a new digital instrument cluster, electronic parking brake, automatic climate control with rear AC vents and a panoramic sunroof.

The biggest change from the current model will be the radar-based driver assistance system. ADAS features can also be found in the 2023 Kia Seltos, which will receive many other safety features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection and automatic emergency braking, high beam assistant and driver warning. Its price is expected to start from around Rs. 11 million.

Engine

The 2023 Kia Seltos could feature a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that replaces the existing 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine. The new 1.5-liter petrol engine will generate 158 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. It can be offered with both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT transmission. Other engine options will include a 1.5 L NA (115 PS) petrol and a 1.5 L (115 PS) diesel engine.
