New Delhi: South Korean automaker Kia Motors launched the Seltos as its first product in India in August 2019. The SUV currently accounts for more than 55 percent of the company’s total sales. The company has sold 5 lakh Seltos in just 46 months of its launch. In the first quarter of 2023, Kia is expected to sell 27,159 units of the SUV with average monthly sales of over 9,000 units.
Price
Currently, the price of Seltos SUV model lineup is between Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 19.65 lakh. Its petrol variant costs Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 15.90 lakh and the diesel model costs Rs 12.39 lakh to Rs 19.65 lakh. There are 9 automatic variants available in it.
New features
The Kia Seltos has been available for sale in India for almost four years now, and the facelifted model was recently spied testing. Most changes will be made in the cabin of the new model. Safety features like advanced driver assistance system, adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, lane centering steering, autonomous emergency braking system, front collision mitigation system, remote smart parking, high beam assist are available in it.
The new spy pictures reveal that it will get a big sunroof. It will get dual 10.25-inch displays – one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. A rotary drive selector can be seen in the automatic unit.
Engine
The engine setup of the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will get 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine with 115PS power, 1.5L diesel engine with 115PS power and 1.5L turbo petrol engine with 160PS power. The new turbo-petrol engine will be available with two gearbox options. In which a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic will be available. It is expected to hit the market in July 2023.
Competes with Hyundai Creta
The biggest competition of this car is from Hyundai Creta, which has the highest sales in the segment. It gets a petrol and a diesel engine option.
