With the tax slab for SUVs above a certain dimension increasing from September 22, car manufacturers have announced extensive discounts for customers looking to upgrade their vehicles. Following the same pursuit, Kia has also announced significant discounts across its entire range.
The benefits available for these vehicles are a mix of pre-GST price cuts as well as special festive offers.
The overall benefits include pre-GST savings of up to Rs 58,000, and additional festive benefits that go as high as Rs 1.67 lakh on certain models. Standout deals include the Kia Seltos, which offers total benefits around the Rs 2 lakh mark. However, as per media reports, the maximum savings on this vehicle are capped at Rs 1.75 lakh.
The all-new Carens Clavis, Kia’s latest entrant, also sees attractive benefits, with festive deals varying across states. Discounts in Tamil Nadu can unlock close to Rs 1.55 lakh in savings, while those in the North and West can claim discounts of around Rs 1.45 lakh. On the other hand, Kerala is offering a slightly lower benefit at Rs 1.25 lakh, and Karnataka buyers will receive up to Rs 88,650 as the maximum available discount on the Clavis.
For the regular Carens, the discounts are more uniform, with benefits typically hovering between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh, depending on the region.
