Kia Picanto: South Korean company Kia has created panic in the Indian car market. Seltos, Sonet or Kia Carens are one of the best cars in the company’s fleet. Now the company is eyeing the hatchback segment in India. According to media reports, the company is preparing to launch the updated version of its flagship car Kia Picanto in the Indian market. Currently this car is available only in the global market.

Powerful engine

The Kia Picanto is expected to get a powerful 1.2-litre petrol engine. This car will give power of 83 bhp and peak torque of 122 Nm. Not only this, the car will also get the option of a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which will generate 100 bhp power and 172 Nm peak torque.

Larger boot space

At present, the company has not disclosed much about the features and price of this car. It is estimated that this Kasar will be available at an initial price of Rs 7 lakh ex-showroom. LED taillights will be available in the rear of the car. The Kia Picanto will get a bigger boot space of 433 litres.

Safety Features

Kia Picanto can get LED light bars on both sides, which will give it attractive looks. Its dashboard will get a free-standing 8 inch infotainment touchscreen display and a 4.2 screen for instrumentation. The steering wheel and other interior bits of the car remain the same as the outgoing model. It will get features like airbags, ABS and ADAS for safety. In India, this car will compete with Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Suzuki Swift.
