Kia Carnival And EV9: Kia has expanded its portfolio in India. Kia has introduced the Indian markets with 2 new models. The Company has launched the new Carnival MPV and the all new EV9 eclectic SUV.
Kia Carnival And EV9: What It Offers?
The new Carnival is reportedly coming to India as a CBU initially and gets a 2+2+3 seating (7 seater) configuration. The EV9, on the other hand is Kia’s flagship three-row fully electric SUV based on the E-GMP platform.
Kia Carnival Facelift: Prices, Features, And Design
The premium car has made its comeback in India and is available at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 63.90 lakh. This is much higher than that of its discontinued predecessor.
The new Kia Carnival gets a boxier and sharper design compared to its predecessor. It features Kia’s ‘Tiger Nose’ grille. The car is flanked by vertically stacked LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs. It runs on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The primary features features of the car include dual 12.3-inch curved displays, a 4-spoke steering wheel, dual electric sunroofs, three-zone climate control, 11-inch head-up display, 12-speaker Bose sound system, 12-way powered driver’s seat, and wireless charging pads.
The Kia Carnival’s safety features includes 8 airbags, rear disc brakes, ESC, Hill Assist Control, a tire pressure monitor, front, rear and side parking sensors, 360-degree camera and an ADAS Level 2 suite.
Powertrain
The new Carnival gets a 2.2-litre diesel engine. It generates 193hp and 441Nm of peak torque.
Kia EV9: Prices, Features, And Design
Kia Motors flagship electric SUV EV9 is launched with a price tag of Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom) in India. EV9 comes with a 6-seater layout.
EV9 is packed with LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, and a closed-off grille with integrated digital-pattern lighting. The car also gets LED tail-lamps and spoiler at the rear.
EV9 gets electrically adjustable seats with massage function and adjustable leg support. Features also include features include three-zone climate control, dual-electric sunroofs, a head-up display, a digital inside rear-view mirror, vehicle-to-load functionality, a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, a digital key, the latest version of Kia Connect connected-car tech, and more.
EV9’s safety features include 10 airbags, ESC, hill descent control, vehicle stability management, parking sensors at the front, side and rear, all-wheel disc brakes, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS features.
Powertrain
EV9 gets a 99.8kWh battery pack that powers dual electric motors for an all-wheel-drive configuration. The two electric motors produce 384hp and 700Nm of torque. The car offers a range of 561km.
