Kia EV9: Kia Motors, the renowned South Korean carmaker, has taken the wraps off its dazzling electric car, the Kia EV9. The company adopted a highly innovative approach to unveil its new vehicle, enlisting the participation of Jodie Kidd, a famous fashion model and TV presenter.

The spectacular EV9 boasts an impressive range, capable of traveling up to 483 km on a single full charge. This remarkable feature aligns well with the growing demand for electric vehicles with extended driving ranges, making the EV9 an enticing option for eco-conscious consumers.
The presentation garnered widespread praise from the audience, who lauded Kidd’s daring performance. Kia’s decision to first launch the EV9 in the European and US markets indicates the company’s strategic approach to introducing the electric vehicle.
Following its debut in these key regions, Kia plans to make the EV9 available in the Indian market by the year 2025. As a seven-seater car, the EV9 aims to cater to families and larger groups, adding versatility to its appeal.
The EV9’s impressive performance capabilities are equally noteworthy. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 5.2 seconds, showcasing its agility and speed.
Additionally, the car can travel up to 100 km with just a 6-minute charge, providing a convenient solution for electric vehicle owners who may need a quick power boost on the go.
Kia is offering consumers a choice between two battery pack options for the EV9. The first option is a 76 kW battery pack, delivering a power output of 201 bhp. The second option features a larger 99.8 kWh battery pack, paired with a 160 kW motor generating about 215 bhp. The latter battery configuration provides a range of approximately 358 km once fully charged.

A noteworthy highlight of the EV9 is its rapid-charging capability. With the assistance of a fast charger, the car can charge up to 80 percent of its battery capacity in just seven minutes. This feature is particularly advantageous for users who require swift and efficient charging to minimize downtime and keep their journeys uninterrupted.
While specific details regarding the EV9’s features and pricing are yet to be disclosed by Kia, market estimates suggest a potential ex-showroom price of around Rs 90 lakh. The car’s exterior design features eye-catching L-shaped DRLs and Pixel LED lights on the grille, ensuring it catches attention wherever it goes.
Built on the E-GMP platform, the EV9 incorporates advanced safety features like airbags and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The interior of the vehicle boasts a spacious and premium design, complemented by a range of tech-savvy features such as a large screen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, and a climate control AC system.
