In a recent post that has been re-shared by several eminent pages on Instagram a user is seen using the external power supply of the KIA EV-6 for powering a Blender.
KIA EV-6 is a premium Electric vehicle that was brought to India in limited numbers. As it appears the user has found a new use for the EV that was meant for easy EV use and efficiency.
How Can KIA EV-6 Power A Blender?
KIA seemed to have thought of all eventualities while designing the vehicle. The GT line variant that was sold in India has a V2L-( Vehicle To Load) outlet along with it. This outlet can be used to transform the charging port of the car into a power supply source that could than power any machine upto 120V, 16 Amps.
KIA EV-6 Ingenious Design
KIA has designed the outlet in such a manner that in case of excessive use the electric supply would stop if the vehicle reaches a battery level below 20%. You can only use about 80% of the vehicles saved up battery life to power external Appliances.

The user is taking advantage of the ingenious design of the KIA. As seen in the video the user is seen powering a blender. He then says that he has been using the KIA EV-6 to make Gajar Halwa. The internet has been in a frenzy ever since the video has been uploaded over the internet. Users have been commenting about how is such a feat possible.

KIA EV-6 has a Lithium Ion battery pack of around 77.4Kwh, and provides a max power output of around 320.55 BHP. The max torque figure of the car is around 605NM with a total range of 708 km. The vehicle was sold in India in limited numbers back in 2021.
The car was available in two variants the EV-6 Gt line as well as the EV-6 Gt Line AWD. The prices of both the vehicles was around 60.97lakh Rs for the Gt line and the AWD variant was powered by a 65.97 Lakh RS.
Ease of Use and Ingenuity Of KIA EV-6
Its KIA’s ingenuity that has hailed supreme here. They have had the foresight to provide their vehicle with the ability to power external appliances as well just for the sake of users. Beyond that they have also engineered a safety limit that would allow the user to be wary of battery drainage as well. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 which was launched around the same time has similar functionality as well. You can use – Vehicle To load Power Adapters on both of these vehicles and use them to power external appliances. The main reason behind the v2l output was to ensure that users have power supply while camping Out.
