KIA India has finally revealed the prices of the Carens Clavis. The Clavis would be a bold new premium vehicle designed for Indian families, starting at Rs 11.49 Lakh Ex Showroom. With the new Clavis KIA seeks to establish a bridge in between the MPV’s and SUV’s and since the Carens would be available in 6-7 seater configuration users would be able to experience the practicality of a SUV along with a host of new features such as a tech packed interior as well as top tier safety equipment.
New Design Innovation
KIA sought to depart from the conventional image of the MPV with their new Clavis. The Carens Clavis has been equipped with a new Digital Tiger face grille and 17 inch crystal cut alloys. Beyond that the dual pane panoramic sunroof, 64 color ambient lighting and a dual screen panoramic display would elevate the cabin experience.
New Powertrain Options
While KIA has facelifted the car and given it revised interior and exterior, it has kept the same engine options on offer as before. Users would be able to choose between a 1.5NA Petrol, 1.5L Turbo Petrol (G1.5 T-GDI) and a 1.5L Diesel ( CRDI VGT). Beyond these engine options users would be able to choose between 6MT, 6iMT, 7DCT and 6AT depending upon the variants. Users would be able to choose seven variants in total (HTE to HTX+). Beyond the new transmission options the car would be available with Level 2 ADAS with 20 Autonomous features , One Touch Electric Tumble for the middle seats to get into the third row, A Bose 8 Speaker audio system and beyond that all smart pure air purifier, and roof mounted AC vents.
Safety First
In addition to ADAS the Clavis would feature a Robust standard package safety. Which includes Airbags, ESC, HAC,DBC, rear occupant alert and Tyre Pressure Monitoring system.

The Carens Clavis would retain the same engine options as before a 115hp, 1.5 Litre Petrol and 6 Speed manual . A 1.5 liter turbo Diesel with 6 speed manual as well as a 6 speed automatic that churns out 116Hp. And beyond that a 1.5 litre Turbo petrol with 6 speed iMT , 7 speed dual clutch auto and a6 speed manual gearbox would be sued as well. The Carens and Calvis would be available in 7 trims – HTE,HTE(O),HTK,HTK+(O),HTX and HTX+
