KIA Carens Facelift And EV Launch Date Revealed, Checkout Specs And New Changes Here

KIA Carnes has been the primary go-to choice for families who seek an affordable MPV, in a recent report the release date of the facelift version of the KIA Carens has been revealed. The Car is set to launch next month and the EV version of the Carens will soon follow in the upcoming months of June. The EV version of the Carens would be similar to that of the normal ICE version of the Carens without any extensive changes in the appearance, the whole gamut of changes would lie underneath the hood with a Creta EV powertrain.

New Cosmetic Changes 

As per the test mule sighting it was apparent that the vehicle would have a front fascia redesign but beyond that, the car might have a higher bonnet line giving the car a more SUV appeal. It’s possible that the car might follow some design cues from the recently launched Carens. The rear would have a connected light bar that runs across the breadth of the car conjoined into the tail lamps. The car would now be delivered with dual-tone rims similar to that of the outgoing model.

New Level Two ADAS features 

Along with changes to the overall design of the interior with new chrome accents and toggles and switches the car would also get level 2 ADAS safety features along with a 360 degree camera. These features would be shared with the other monikers such as Seltos and Sonet. 

KIA Carens Facelift Engines And EV Powertrain 

The KIA Carens is available with three engine options as of yet these include a 1.5 Litre petrol that churns out 115 Hp and a 1.5 direct diesel injection turbo – petrol  that churns out 160 Hp and a 1.5 litre diesel that churns out 116 Hp.

The Battery as well as the powertrain that the new Carens would get would be similar to that of the Hyundai Creta Electric as revealed by Auto Car. The battery pack of the Hyundai Creta includes a 42 KWH as well as a 51.4 KWH battery pack options. The new facelift would possibly have a slew of variants that would be priced within the range of Rs 11.20 Lakh to 20 Lakh. The KIA Carens EV would be priced between the range of 18 Lakh To 25 Lakh Rs.
