The Monster has been one of the most iconic monikers that Ducati has ever produced, and Ducati seems to be in the pursuit of maintaining the prominence of the moniker as it’s about to launch a new update. The new iteration will be equipped with significant changes compared to that of the outgoing model.

The all-new Monster is expected to be called the Monster V2. The new version of the bike will feature a new 890cc V-twin engine, similar to the one seen on the Panigale V2, Streetfighter V2, and Multistrada V2. Spotted testing in Europe, Autocar states that the bike was not using the 937cc Testastretta motor. The new motor is expected to churn out between 115hp to 120hp. Beyond that, the new bike is expected to ship with a slew of chassis updates and reduced weight.
A teaser that was recently posted by the brand showcased the fuel tank of an older-generation Monster, accompanied by the sketches of what the new-age generation will look like, highlighting the same silhouette. The teaser ends with a letter M, highlighting a possible signal of the Monster’s new update.

The internet is replete with photos of the bike testing under camouflage. It seems that the photos were taken in the early phases of development, as the bike seems very similar to the outgoing model — or it’s possible that these might be the spy shots of older models. We could not confirm.
