Is Kawasaki Developing an All-New Z1100? Leaked CAD Renderings Reveal Key Details

Kawasaki is set to launch the 2025 Z1100, a naked sportbike powered by a 1,099cc inline-four engine shared with the Ninja 1100 SX and Versys 1100, featuring 136 hp, updated styling, a potentially all-new tubular chassis, and a more aggressive riding position.

Kawasaki is all set to bring in the 2025 Kawasaki Z1100, and according to recent updates, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has officially registered new Kawasaki models for the 2026 model year. Alongside the already known Ninja 1000 SX and Versys 1100, a new model code ZR1000H has appeared in the list for the first time. The first set of images was leaked from a patent application filed in the EU.

Four-Cylinder Engine with 1,099cc Displacement

As per the official registration, the new Kawasaki Z1100 will share the same inline four-cylinder engine as the Ninja 1100 SX and Versys 1100, including similar emission levels. The bike is expected to launch with nearly identical technical specifications, with only minor differences.

The Ninja 1100 SX will likely feature a displacement of 1,099 cc, producing a maximum output of 136 hp at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm.

According to Motorrad Magazine, the Z1100 will likely have 136 hp, which is around 12 hp more than the current Z900. For reference, the last Z1000 models with engines over 1,000 cc had significantly more power, with some even crossing the 200 hp mark.

Shared Platform with Ninja 1100 SX

Media reports further state that the new Kawasaki Z1100 will feature an aluminum frame similar to that of the Ninja 1100 SX. This will also apply to the double-sided swingarm, upside-down forks, and brakes. However, the riding position is expected to be tweaked slightly to give this naked Z model an even more aggressive stance.

Z1100 to Feature an All-New Chassis

, There is also a strong possibility that Kawasaki is developing an all-new chassis specifically for the Z1100, possibly using a tubular frame design to differentiate it further from its faired sibling. While these are CAD renderings, Kawsaki has not revealed much about the upcoming bikes themselves. The Z900 was well received in India as well, and it seems that once it launches, the bike will travel to our shores as well.
